Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for generating revenue through new partnerships and renewals for the Frederick Keys. This role manages the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through closing and activation. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of experience in sponsorship sales or business development within sports and entertainment. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to consistently prospect new business, and the ability to build and grow relationships throughout the Frederick business community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Partnership Sales and Revenue Generation
    • Identify and pursue new partners through outreach, networking, and community involvement.
    • Build a strong pipeline across key business categories.
    • Develop customized partnership proposals that include in-venue signage, digital elements, promotions, and community programs.
    • Lead contract conversations and close multi-year agreements that support the organization’s goals.
    • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets for both new business and renewals.
  • Partnership Activation and Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary contact for assigned partners.
    • Create activation plans that outline all deliverables and ensure that each commitment is executed correctly.
    • Provide proof of performance, recap reports, and consistent communication throughout the season.
    • Identify opportunities to grow existing partnerships.
  • Collaboration and Internal Support
    • Work closely with Marketing, Game Operations, Ticketing, and Ballpark Operations to execute partner elements.
    • Help develop new inventory and creative partnership ideas that fit the Frederick Keys brand.
    • Support game day operations by hosting partners, ensuring signage is correct, and overseeing sponsored promotions.
    • Assist with broader partnership initiatives across Attain Sports when needed.
  • Prospecting and Community Engagement
    • Stay informed on local business trends and sponsorship best practices.
    • Build strong relationships throughout the Frederick business community.
    • Attend networking events, partnership gatherings, and community functions to represent the Keys.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in corporate partnership sales or business development.
  • Proven success in generating new business and managing revenue-producing accounts.
  • Strong presentation and proposal development skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage several projects at once.
  • Comfortable working nights and weekends during the season.
  • Strong willingness to make consistent cold calla and meet weekly outreach expectations.

Attain Partners, the owner of the Frederick Keys, is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging between $45,000 - $50,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for commission and an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
