Who We Are
The DubSea Fish Sticks are not your average baseball team - we’re a full-blown entertainment experience where a baseball game just happens to break out. Every summer, we host 25–30 high-energy shows at Mel Olson Stadium inside King County’s Steve Cox Memorial Park, delivering family-friendly FUNN that keeps the community coming back for more. From between-innings chaos to wild in-park traditions, our mission is simple: make every night at The Fryer unforgettable.

Position Summary

We’re searching for charismatic, high-energy performers to bring our beloved mascot, Fin Crispy Jr., to life! Mascot performers are the heartbeat of the fan experience - creating memories, sparking laughter, and adding that extra layer of magic that makes Fish Sticks events truly “Not Your Average Baseball Game.”

As part of our Fishing Crew entertainment team, you’ll perform at home games, community events, and special appearances throughout the year. If you love performing, making people smile, and embracing a little chaos, this role is for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Become Fin Crispy Jr. - learn the character’s personality, timing, physicality, and signature moves.
  • Bring the energy at all home games with fan interactions, skits, dances, and spontaneous moments.

  • Represent the organization at community appearances, including:
    • Birthday parties
    • Parades
    • School and hospital visits
    • Non-profit events
      Local business activations
  • Amplify the atmosphere by distributing giveaways, hyping up fans, and collaborating with the entertainment team.
  • Maintain costume cleanliness and care, helping ensure Fin Crispy Jr. always looks game-ready.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a mascot or performer strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate emotion, humor, and personality entirely non-verbally.
  • Comfortable improvising and engaging with fans of all ages.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work nights, weekends, and most home games.
  • Basic understanding of baseball and ballpark flow.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

  • A strong teammate who communicates clearly, collaborates well, and isn’t afraid to be silly.

Education & Experience

  • No formal education required.
  • On-the-job training provided.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements

  • Ideal performer height: 5'9" to 6'0".
  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, dancing, stretching, climbing, kneeling, and high-movement activity.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions - including warm summer evenings.
