The Daytona Tortugas are a Single-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, playing at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach, FL.  The Corporate Office is located in Daytona Beach, FL.
 
Role Description:
This is a part-time on-site role for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with accounting such as managing accounts payable and receivable and participating in budgets audits. The Staff Accountant will also work with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting procedures and improve overall financial reporting.
 
Qualifications:
·       Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar.
·       Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards
  • Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable procedures
  • Assist in weekly payment disbursement.
  • Verify data entry matches to system records.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under tight deadlines.
·       Solid knowledge of MS Excel. 
·       Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 
·       High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. 
·       Flexibility to work part-time hours and adapt to changing priorities.
 
Preferred Education Qualifications: 
·       Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 
·       Professional certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, Certified Public Bookkeeper). 
·       Experience with nonprofit organizations or small businesses.
 

Note: Experience in the sports or entertainment industry is a plus.
