Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Accounting plays a critical role in the Club's accounting operations, including month-end close, preparation of reconciliations, maintenance of robust internal controls, regulatory and policy compliance, and assistance with external audits. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely financial information to support executive decision-making and drive strategic planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Monitor and manage all cash accounts, balances, and forecasts.
- Maintain banking relationships, initiate wires/transfers, and administer banking platforms.
- Manage various debt instruments, including paydowns, borrowings, interest payments, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, including preparation and review of account reconciliations.
- Prepare annual audit and tax work papers and assist with management of external audit activities.
- Direct sales tax compliance and monthly filings.
- Oversee controls for cash, payment systems, gift cards, and per diem card programs.
- Oversee ticketing-related accounting, including deferred revenue reconciliations.
- Partner cross-functionally throughout the company to provide accounting guidance, resolve complex inquiries, and ensure internal controls are consistently understood, applied, and improved.
- Oversee reporting and budgeting for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund.
- Assist with assessment, interpretation, and implementation of new accounting pronouncements and ensure organization-wide adoption.
- Assist the Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO with special projects as required.
- Assist with managing and reviewing work of the accounting team.
- Facilitate a culture of continuous process improvement.
Requirement Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 5 - 10+ years of progress experience in accounting.
- People management experience is preferred.
- CPA preferred.

- Exceptional analytical skills, detail oriented, and high-level of business acumen.
- Proven leadership and communication skills; works well in a team environment.
- Highly organized and proactive in managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Advance Excel skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
- Inquisitive mindset and self-motivator.
- ERP system experience (NetSuite preferred).
- Quick learner of new systems and tools, and willingness to engage with AI or other emerging technologies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work on-site at Target Field.
- Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of work day.
- Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer, keyboard and telephone.
- Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, dining room, etc.
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 annually. This role is also eligible for a performance-based bonus, which varies based on company and individual performance. Total cash compensation will depend on bonus payouts and will likely exceed base salary.
