Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Biomechanists to provide actionable insights and recommendations based on sports science data to stakeholders at the Minor League level focusing on pitching, batting, sports performance, and sports medicine. 
  • Assist in the data collection using various on and off-field biomechanical tools for athlete monitoring and player performance. 
  • Use expertise and background to guide long-term performance research efforts to optimize player development and health. 
  • Identify and integrate scientific best practices for Sports Science. 
  • Work with Sports Science and baseball systems team to maintain, improve and create intuitive visualizations to facilitate communication with non-Biomechanical audiences (coaches, players, scouts, front office personnel). 
Required Experience and Education: 
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, physics, or another quantitative field. 
  • Academic background in kinesiology, biomechanics, engineering, sport science, physical therapy, or another closely related field. 
  • Data analyst experience: ability to interpret and analyze statistics. 
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Demonstrated experience with biomechanical data collection, analysis, and interpretation, including but not limited to: markered and/or markerless motion capture, IMU's, force plates, etc. driving exceptional skills communicating biomechanical concepts. 
  • Familiarity with statistical programs such as R, Python, Matlab, SPSS, Stata. 
  • Experience with SQL or relational databases. 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Experience working in high-level sports environment (collegiate, professional). 
  • Postgraduate degree (Master's, PhD)
 
Time Commitment: February 2026 - October 2026. 
Hours: 40 hours/week. 
Compensation: Hourly rate of $18.00/hour.
