Department Overview:
The Target Field Events team oversees all non-game day events within the ballpark, delivering exceptional experiences for corporate gatherings, social celebrations, community events and private functions. Working closely with internal partners and trusted vendors, the team manages the full event lifecycle, from planning and coordination to on-site execution, ensuring every event reflects the Twins standards of service. The event department creates memorable, well-executed events that showcases Target Field as a premier event venue within the Minneapolis and Regional market.
Position Summary:
The Event Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the day-of, on-site execution of non-game day events at Target Field. Part of the Event Services team, this role ensures seamless operations, exceptional guest experiences, and adherence to venue standards. Serving as an on-site point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal partners, the Event Supervisor provides real-time leadership and coordination throughout each event. The ideal candidate is service-focused, detail-oriented, and confident managing live event logistics in a dynamic environment.
This position will have a variable schedule, based on event schedule, that includes nights, weekends, and occasional weekday shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Day of Event:
- Lead day-of event operations, acting as the on-site manager throughout setup, event time, and tear down.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, catering teams, and facility staff during events.
- Ensure all event elements are executed according to contracts, run-of-show documents, and service standards.
- Oversee event flow, troubleshooting issues, and make timely decisions to maintain a seamless experience.
- Uphold Target Field hospitality standards and provide high-level service to clients and guests. Coordinate with Security, Facilities, Housekeeping, and Audio/Visual teams as needed.
- Ensure compliance with venue policies, city regulations, and food/beverage requirements.
- Pre & Post Event:
- Attend Pre Event Internal Meetings to talk through event details, ask questions, and more.
- When available, attend walk throughs and final detail meetings with Clients.
- Document event details, incidents, post-event notes, and opportunities for improvements.
- Support continuous improvement of event processes and guest experience.
Required Experience and Education:
- Minimum 1 year of event operations, venue management, hospitality, or a related field.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- Comfortable working independently with sound judgment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in sports, entertainment, or large-scale venue operations.
- Familiarity with event diagrams, production schedules, and live event logistics.
- Knowledge of basic AV, catering service standards, and facility operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and select weekdays based on event schedule.
Compensation: Hourly rate of $22/hour.
