Intern - Software Development
Overview
Summary Assists the software development team with various software applications to support and improve business operations and the fan experience. This position requires basic software development skills as well as the ability to work within a team. The ideal candidate will be able to work 15 - 25 hours per week depending on department workload and class schedule.

- Assist with application design, development, and maintencance.
- Assist creating and extending API functionality.
- Assist with developing ETL processes to integrate systems.
- Discuss and synthesize end-user requirements as it relates to building intuitive software experiences.
- Test and document new and existing features and functionality.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve application quality issues as needed.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Experience with software development, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, implementation, and iterative improvement.
- Experience with programming languages and development technologies (such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, C#, Java, HTML5, CSS, SQL, NoSQL).
- Understanding UI/UX responsive design concepts and techniques.
- Knowledge of basic computer and device troubleshooting.
- Desire to work with people in a demanding yet highly rewarding industry
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in Agile teams is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) a plus
- Experience with Cloud computing (AWS or GCP) a plus
- Experience with serveless and queuing technologies (Lambda, Cloud Functions, SQS) a plus
- Familiarity with networking, computers, and mobile devices is a plus
Education and/or Experience
Student within three or four semesters of completing an accredited college degree in computer science or information technology; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Work Hours
Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, flexibility may be required as part of a game or event schedule.
