Thank you for your interest in a position with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.  It is our goal to provide you with hands-on experience and knowledge useful in competing for jobs in the baseball and hospitality industry, beginning with Minor League Baseball.  We will also work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary.  Our assistant positions are a great learning opportunity where previous experience is not always necessary.

Timber Rattlers baseball season officially begins in early April.  Qualifications are based on ability, desire, work ethic and a commitment to make the most of the experience.  

 The Sous Chef Assistant will earn $15.00/hour and is expected to maintain a consistent schedule throughout their time here including: to be at all home games as well as play key roles in executing special events taking place at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
 
 SOUS CHEF ASSISTANT
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Sous Chef Assistant will assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in day to day tasks, occasionally helping the Food and Beverage Director and Assistant Food and Beverage Director with assorted tasks.

 Position Responsibilities:
·        Assist and help coordinate kiosks and concession stands and staff 

·        Oversee setup and cleanup of kiosks, kitchens, and concession stands 

·        Receive deliveries, following FIFO procedures 

·        Assist with inventory at end of each month with attention to detail 

·        Demonstrate proper ServSafe techniques and follow local health code practices 

·        Volunteer for general kitchen duties during down time, including serving, cleaning, dishwashing, and helping stands/kiosks. Ensure quality of food and projects by checking presentation, communicating with staff, and demonstrating the correct methods based on the Chef’s guidance

·        Learning the line in the main kitchen and helping line cook when needed, assist the chef in preparing hot food for game day, helping with suites, buffets, and picnics 

·        Assist with banquets during the off weeks, this can include scheduling, ordering, and helping with menu planning 

Suggested Skills/Qualifications:

·        Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously

·        Strong organizational and customer service skills

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

·        Able to follow recipes and specs 

·        Able to be on your feet for a long period of time, lift up to 80 pounds, and work in extreme hot and cold environments 

 Aside from the above stated duties, sous chef assistants will be required to attend staff meetings and assist the front office staff whenever needed.  Other duties could include pulling tarp, assisting with special events, customer service and general office duties.

Start Date: Spring 2026
Salary: $15.00/ hour
