Stadium Operations Internship - Immediate Opening 
This is an internship position where candidates must be able to receive academic credit for this internship and will be paid a monthly stipend of $1,200 a month.




Assist the Director of Stadium Operations and the Assistant Director of Stadium Operations with daily operations duties including, but not limited to: routine building maintenance, landscaping projects, stadium cleaning and scheduling. 
  • Assist in planning, setting up, and breaking down all stadium events during and after the season 
  • Assist in the daily management of game day staff members
  • Set up all parking lots with signage and appropriate barriers
  • Work a parking lot an hour before gates open until an hour after the game starts
  • Assist other departments with various tasks, when necessary and appropriate
  • Manage and cultivate vendor relationships for ballpark improvement projects and day-to-day affairs
  • Assist in departmental problem solving, project planning, and the development and execution of departmental goals and objectives
  • Perform daily walk-through of the facility to ensure proper set-up is complete for each event
  • Other duties as assigned

Expectations/Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in college working towards a Bachelor’s Degree, or the equivalent.  Candidates must be able to receive academic credit for this internship
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of how to operate basic tools preferred, but not required
  • Desire to build a career in the sports industry
  • Energetic, self-starter
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to spend most of the day outside and on your feet in extreme weather conditions
  • Must work well with others and independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to balance many projects at once
  • Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Conduct self in a professional manner both in personal appearance and attitude
  • Represent the South Bend Cubs at business and community functions in a professional manner
 
Tasks will vary and responsibilities will grow and evolve over time.  This is not an all-encompassing list, but rather a sample of what tasks will be expected.

Compensation: 
This is an internship position where candidates must be able to receive academic credit for this internship and will be paid a monthly stipend of $1,200 a month.
