The South Bend Cubs are the High-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Over the past 35 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2022, and captured nine division titles. In 2023, the organization was selected as the Single-A Bob Freitas Award recipient by Baseball America. Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, was voted Best High-A ballpark in the country by Ballpark Digest in 2022 and 2023, having also won the award as a Low-A ballpark in 2017. The team recently broke ground on a 48-million-dollar stadium renovation. 
Food and Beverage Operations Intern: 
Overall Internship Description: The Food and Beverage Operations internship position helps in many different aspects of our Food and Beverage Department, including, but not limited to concession stands, bars, main kitchen, portable food carts, etc. The Food and Beverage Intern will report directly to the Food and Beverage Department.  Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of food and beverage operations for all baseball games and (non-baseball games) at Four Winds Field.
- Assist in managing over 70 seasonal employees.
- Aid in scheduling hours for the food and beverage department.
Properly care for and maintain equipment.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot and train other employees on point-of-sale systems.
- Assist with stocking and preparing concession stands and food carts for all games.
- Help maintain cleanliness of stands and group spaces to meet health code regulations.
- Help control inventory, food costs and labor cost.
- Assist with daily office operations.
- Maintain ballpark standards and cleanliness.
-  Ability to walk, reach, stand, bend and stoop for long periods of time; climb stairs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
 
Skills & Abilities Required: The applicant should be a self-motivator who thrives in a team and fast paced environment; possesses good interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to work effectively with attention to detail in a high- volume sales environment; ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts; fast learner; and able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Interns will work similar hours to a Full time staff member during the season, including all 66 home games and events. 
Pay: $15 / hour. ServSafe Food and Alcohol training will be provided.
