Facility Operations/Event Staff: Facility/Venue Management
Position: Director of Ballpark Operations
Reports To: General Manager 
Summary of position: Responsible for the daily maintenance and cleaning of Modern Woodmen Park. This position will oversee the Manager, Operations and Grounds and work together with Director of Field Services/Head Groundskeeper. 

Major Job Duties Include but are not Limited to:
  • Ensure stadium is clean and in good status for each home game and event
  • Perform minor repairs around the stadium 
  • Responsible for staffing all game day crew including ushers, parking, and cleaning
  • Work with companies/contractors and City of Davenport on repairs and work around the facility

Other Job Duties include but are not Limited to:
  • Assist with field work as needed
  • Assist with community events and appearances
  • Assist other departments as needed

Technology Skills:
  • Office Suite-Microsoft Office 
  • Operation of small engines 
  • Operation of power tools 

Knowledge:
  • Basic mechanical 
  • MLB and MiLB facility and field requirements
  • Stadium operations 
  • Small engine 
  • Measurements (reading tape measures, etc)

Skills:
  • Communication (written & verbal)
  • Organization 
  • Multitasking 
  • Delegating while navigating other projects

Abilities:
  • Interpret weather
  • Lift 75+ pounds

Work Activities:
  • Secure the building on a daily basis
  • Repair items throughout the stadium as needed (broken seats, lights, etc)
  • Work directly with hardware and equipment rental companies
  • Schedule Staff for all games 

Context:
  • 40 hours per week in the off season
  • 80-90 hours per week during the season
  • Outside in the elements for most of the work hours
  • Time sensitive during the season

Education and Experience:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred 
  • 2-4 Years Related Experience
