The Lansing Lugnuts, the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, are seeking applicants for Assistant Groundskeeper. This position would work closely with the Head Groundskeeper in planning and performing maintenance required to provide a safe, playable, and aesthetically pleasing minor league baseball field. 

This position is ideal for an applicant with turf management experience.

·        Maintain clay areas including infield, pitching mounds, home plate area, and bullpens

·        Assist in field maintenance such as mowing, fertilizing, edging, aerating, sodding, etc.

·        Set up and tear down batting practice

·        Pre-game preparation

·        Post game clean up

·        Extra field events and duties as assigned

·        Turf management education is not required, but preferred

·        Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds repetitively

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment

·        Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions

·        Required to work, day, nights and weekends during home games and special events

·        Looking for an individual with attention to detail, a good work ethic, and someone who works well with a team.
