Position Overview
The Parking Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, organized, and positive parking experience for all guests attending games and events at the ballpark. This position plays a key role in traffic flow, guest service, and safety by directing vehicles, monitoring lots, and enforcing parking policies with professionalism and courtesy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests as they enter parking areas.
- Direct vehicles to designated parking spaces efficiently and safely.
- Monitor parking lots to ensure compliance with stadium parking policies.
- Manage traffic flow before, during, and after events.
- Provide information and directions to fans regarding stadium entrances, exits, and amenities.
- Verify parking passes and collect payment when applicable.
- Assist in keeping parking areas safe, clean, and free of obstructions.
- Report safety, security, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support emergency procedures as needed (e.g., severe weather, medical incidents, evacuations).
- Perform additional duties as assigned by stadium management.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and customer service–oriented.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely.
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or parking operations preferred.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
Work Environment
- Work performed outdoors in stadium parking areas.
- Exposure to large crowds, traffic, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- Fast-paced environment requiring attentiveness and professionalism.
- Seasonal position (April–September, including potential playoff dates).
