Position Summary
The Fan Engagement Specialist Interns will assist the Captains front office with day to day efforts during the 2026 season. This internship is designed for college students or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in sports, sales, customer service, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales Department with data entry tasks
- Make calls daily to Captains Fans to discuss their experience(s) at our game(s) with a goal of getting them to attend another game
- Facilitate ticket transactions at the box office or help troubleshoot ticketing issues
- Hop in the Mascot Suit for games as needed
- Lead chants, hype up the fans, throw out T-Shirts at Captains games
- Escort groups on-field for their game day experience
- Help fans with FAQ's on game day
- Scan tickets in at the gate or bag check ensuring no outside food or drinks, or weapons of any kind enter the ballpark
- Work in concessions / food and beverage as needed
- Staff the front gates welcoming fans into the game and saying goodbye when the game ends; could be passing out coupons upon exit
- Assist with stadium operations as needed
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated (Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask
- Positive attitude 24/7/365
- Outgoing, energetic personality and a passion for fan interaction.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, live event environment.
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods and lift light objects as needed.
