Position Summary
The Fan Engagement Specialist Intern will assist the Captains front office with day to day efforts during the 2026 season. This internship is designed for college students or recent grads seeking course credit or gaining hands-on experience in sports, sales, customer service, and operations.
This is a paid internship, at $125/week. During off-weeks, we are in the office Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. During homestands, we are in the office: Monday from 9am-5pm, Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday from 10am-10pm, Wednesday/Sunday from 8am-4pm, and Friday from 10am-11pm. You will also be required to work all non-Captains Events, as they come up throughout the summer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales Department with data entry tasks
- Make calls daily to Captains Fans to discuss their experience(s) at our game(s).
- Be on the front lines helping customers that walk into the administrative offices.
- Hop in the Mascot Suit for events as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing and game operations staff to brainstorm new fan engagement ideas.
- Represent the Captains brand at community events.
- Facilitate ticket transactions and help with ticketing operation issues
- Scan tickets / bag check at the front gate
- Staff guest services during games
- Help with promotional items like T-Shirt tosses or on field contests
- Serve large corporate picnics
- Help out in concessions as needed
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated (Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing, energetic personality and a passion for fan interaction.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, live event environment.
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods and lift light objects as needed.
