The Lake County Captains, the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, are seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-driven Ticket Sales Representative to join our sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in professional sports sales. The ideal candidate is competitive, highly organized, comfortable making outbound sales calls, and passionate about developing relationships with businesses, organizations, and fans throughout Northeast Ohio.

The Ticket Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, selling season ticket and group ticket packages, managing accounts, and contributing to the overall success of the Captains' ticket sales operation.

Responsibilities

  •  Achieve established sales KPIs, including a minimum of 60 outbound calls per day, 5 meetings set per week, and 3 meetings completed per week. 
  •  Actively participate in the sale of season ticket packages, group packages, and other ticket products. 
  •  Aggressively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and in-person sales meetings. 
  •  Develop creative sales ideas and initiatives to help the sales team achieve and exceed revenue goals. 
  •  Facilitate ticket sales transactions at the Box Office during all home games. Prior experience with TDC is a strong plus. 
  •  Serve as a leader among the full-time sales staff and interns by setting a positive example and assisting wherever needed. 
  •  Maintain a consistent and robust pipeline of prospective accounts through ongoing prospecting and follow-up. 
  •  Complete daily updates to the company's sales database to ensure accurate records of sold accounts, prospects, and leads. 
  •  Attend networking events, community events, and other functions outside of normal business hours to generate new business and develop relationships. 
  •  Understand and properly execute the complete ticket sales process, including prospecting, account management, payment processing, ticket paperwork, and follow-up. 
  •  Manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced professional sports environment. 
  •  Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies throughout the ticket sales and processing operations. 
  •  Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and/or General Manager. 
Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. 
  •  Previous sales, customer service, or professional sports experience preferred. 
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  •  Comfortable making a high volume of outbound sales calls and conducting face-to-face sales meetings. 
  •  Competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented personality. 
  •  Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
  •  Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. 
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems. 
  •  Experience with TDC or ticketing software is a plus. 
  •  Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the baseball season. 
  •  A passion for baseball, sports, entertainment, and providing an exceptional fan experience.
