Community Relations & Promotions Intern
Start Date: Monday, February 2nd
End Date: Friday, September 25th
Pay: $1,400 a month
Direct Supervisor: Morgan Olson, Assistant Director of Marketing & Promotions
Overall Job Description: The Community Relations & Promotions Intern will assist the TinCaps Marketing Department with planning, enhancing, and the execution of the game day experience at Parkview Field through promotions as well as out in the community. This internship focuses on all things promotions and community involvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, set-up, and execution of pre-game, in-game, and post-game promotions and activations.
- Assist in the execution of Promotional Theme Nights throughout the season such as appearances, props, decorations, etc.
- Provide logistics and coordination with National Anthem performers, Pregame Concert Series bands, and the Community Organization of the Game.
- Maintain a cleaning, organization, and inventory schedule for the Promo Room, props, and giveaways/coupons.
- Set-up and management of Guest Services and Programs.
- Assist in execution of Specialty Jersey Auctions and ballpark giveaways.
- Fulfillment of Radio Station ticket giveaways and other promotional activations.
- Main contact for the Hero of the Game Program.
- Assist in the development and execution of youth and community events / nights such as Play Ball Weekend, Caps Against Cancer Night, Military Appreciation, and Team Service Days.
- Assist in the interviewing/hiring, training, and scheduling of TinCaps Promo Team.
- Attend community events and appearances either as or with the Mascot Johnny TinCap as well as with the TinCaps Promo Team and Players.
- Assist with behind-the-scenes ballpark tours when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
