POSITION
The Dayton Dragons are currently looking for a Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the 2026 season. The Dayton Dragons are in Dayton, Ohio and are the Single A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, energetic environment and be willing to work varied hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Visiting Clubhouse Manager, you will be directly responsible for the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.:
- Setup of the visiting clubhouse prior to the beginning of 2026 baseball season.
- Assist the Home Clubhouse Manager in Pre-Season duties including: Clubhouse setup, distribution of team gear, and overall maintenance.
- Strong Communication with Visiting Teams, Managers, Team Trainers, Strength Coaches, and other Coaching staff to communicate arrival times to Day Air Ballpark.
- Managing the Bat Personnel Staff on game days.
- Setup snacks and drinks for players, coaches, and staff before visiting team arrival.
- Set up dugout for early field work, batting practice, and game. This includes putting out bubble gum, seeds, towels, water, and Gatorade.
- Shopping for clubhouse snacks, toiletries, and other clubhouse items.
- Assist Home Clubhouse Manager with: Arrival and Departure of Home Team.
- Following all Clubhouse Amenity Standards set forth by Major League Baseball which include, but not limited to the list of activities below:
- Cleaning the entire clubhouse daily. This includes vacuuming the entire clubhouse, equipment room, and laundry room, emptying and removal of all trash as necessary
- Cleaning and polishing one pair of shoes per player, coach, and manager per day
- Be available for errands beginning with team’s arrival and lasting until post game departure
- Coordinating and assisting with visiting team’s arrival and departure
- Stocking the dugouts and bullpens area with towels, water, and other supplies.
- Stock toiletries in the bathroom and shower areas.
- Provide the training room and weight room with towels each day.
- Coordinate the delivery, staging, and clean-up of meals and clubhouse snacks served to players and staff.
- Post-Game laundry of personal loops, uniforms, and towels.
- Post-Game cleanup of clubhouse locker room, coaches and manager’s office, training room, bathroom and shower areas.
- Assist with unloading/loading of Visiting Team Buses on arrival and departure days.
- Assist with moving all visiting players, coach, and staff equipment out of the clubhouse for visiting team departure.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
Candidate must be able to work inside/outside and in adverse weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
REQUIREMENTS
- Adhering to all policies and procedures set forth by the Dayton Dragons, Cincinnati Reds, and Major League Baseball.
- This position at times will require an irregular work schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and any other times as the scheduled dictates.
- Be able to work all sixty-six (66) home games during the 2026 season.
- Experience as an assistant or head clubhouse manager is preferred.
COMPENSATION
Game Day Rate as approved by Major League Baseball for the High- A Classification
State of Ohio minimum wage for hours worked on Non-Game Days
