 Executive Chef/Catering Manager 
The Executive Chef/Catering Manager will be joining our admirable Food and Beverage team working for the Cedar Rapids Ball Club, Inc, which is home to the Cedar Rapids Kernels, a Minnesota Twins Affiliate. Under the leadership of the Director of Food and Beverage, the Executive Chef/Catering Manager will be responsible for player meals and catering within the community.  

 Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Design and create diverse and appealing menus that align with the culinary vision of the Cedar Rapids Ball Club, Inc. 
  • Prepare dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to recipes. 
  • Working with team dietitians to formulate a menu for player meals while following various dietary restrictions 
  • Managing day-to-day kitchen operations, including inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. 
  • Leading and supervising kitchen staff, providing guidance, and conducting training sessions to enhance skills and efficiency. 
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food safety standards. 
  • Collaborating with other departments, and teams, to facilitate smooth catering operations. 
  • Staying updated on culinary trends, experimenting with new ingredients and techniques, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the menu. 
  • Set-up and tear down of all caterings, including delivery 

 Requirements
 
Strong leadership is mandatory for this role as you will oversee Food and Beverage Catering.  Effective communication is crucial for conveying information to teams, customers, and co-workers. This includes written and verbal communication. Must be adept at identifying issues and finding practical solutions that may arise in the day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will need to multi-task and prioritize to be successful in this position. Must possess a valid driver's license. 

Serve Safe Certification Preferred  
Culinary Degree Preferred 

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits offered. Travel within the Cedar Rapids area is expected, with the company vehicle being provided for all catering deliveries.
