Position Summary

The Home Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the daily operation, organization, and cleanliness of the Cedar Rapids Kernels clubhouse. This role supports players, coaches, umpires, and baseball operations staff by ensuring a professional, well-maintained, and compliant clubhouse environment throughout the season.

The Home Clubhouse Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining clean, organized, and professional home and umpires' clubhouses at all times, this includes cleaning restrooms, sinks, lockers, vacuuming, etc. 
  •  Managing and distributing uniforms, equipment, and gear for players and coaches
  • Leading uniform preparation and laundry duties, including repairs as needed
  • Setting up and breaking down of the dugout and clubhouse for practices, games, and special events as needed
  • Ensuring teams' compliance with MLB and MiLB clubhouse standards and policies
  • Monitoring and restocking clubhouse supplies (towels, toiletries, snacks, beverages, etc.)
  • Leading post-game clubhouse cleanup, ensuring the space is in top condition each morning
  •  Communicating regularly with coaching staff, equipment staff, and stadium operations team
  • Other duties as assigned by the Stadium and Baseball Operations Manager

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clubhouse, equipment, or athletic operations experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support all players, staff, and umpires
 
The Home Clubhouse Manager is a physically demanding job. Perspective applicants should be able to be on their feet for long periods of time, multiple days a week, and be able to lift at least 75 LBS.  Applicants need to be willing to work long hours during game weeks; 14-16 hours a day is typical during a homestand. Although the hours may be long, this position is flexible with time off.
