The Cedar Rapids Kernels are seeking a full time Food and Beverage Intern. Food and Beverage Interns will oversee all food and beverage aspects of the concession areas in the ballpark as well as oversee all food and beverage aspects of our two off-site concession stands located in the area. Interns should expect to work all home games, along with various community and private events, including those at outside venues throughout the Cedar Rapids area. 

Interns will be an essential part of the team. Learning the ins and outs of customer service, leadership, and teamwork in a fun and fast-paced baseball environment. 
Desired Qualifications: 

- Hardworking, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. 
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. 
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. 
- Willing to step outside your comfort zone and learn new skills. 
- Must be a college student or recent graduate pursuing a career in sports management, event management, marketing, hospitality, or a related field. 
- Prior experience in food service, customer service, or events is a plus, but not required. 
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 

Responsibilities include:
- Help oversee all aspects of concessions for Cedar Rapids Kernels games with Food and Beverage Director, Head Chef
- Responsible for inventory and receiving of food and beverage products associated with the operation of the facility
- Responsible for developing and management of part time staff
- Become knowledgeable with stadium point of sale and troubleshooting
- Lead set-up and closing of food and beverage areas for each event
- Promote teamwork, and a positive work environment among all staff and provide an excellent guest experience 
- Assist in the ordering of all food and beverage products associated with the operation of the facility and off-site facilities
- Other duties as assigned
