Summary/Objective 
The Sky Carp Promotions Trainee will play an instrumental role in the organization and production of Sky Carp promotional and theme night gameday experiences. They will have a significant role in scheduling pre-game and in-game entertainment, theme night creation, and overall execution of gameday entertainment. They will aid with the gameday run-of-show, from assisting with writing scripts pre-game to ensuring that all in-game entertainment and promos are executed seamlessly.

This position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30-40 hours per week and does not include benefits other than hourly pay OR potential school credit. The pay for this position is $14/hour.

The preferred start date is Monday, March 17th. This position will end in Mid-September once the baseball season concludes.

An applicant should possess significant organizational skills and be ready to hit the ground running in preparation for the 2026 season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in scheduling pre-game entertainment, including Anthem singers, flag raisers, and other concourse entertainers
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of all theme nights for the 2026 season
  • Keep a detailed list of all pre-game and in-game offerings and entertainment
  • Aid in the production of gameday scripts, including the PA and emcee scripts
  • Organize the gameday promotions staff (The Gaggle) to ensure all gameday promotions and activities are carried out as planned
  • Attend Baseball U training program to gain knowledge and professional development
  • Participate in professional development training

Requirements 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Foundational understanding of run-of-show and live entertainment
  • Foundational understanding of video and art/design composition
  • Open to professional feedback and composition critiques
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Strong people skills and ability to bring positive energy to every game
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to learn and adapt in fast changing environments and keep calm under pressure
  • Ability to work in flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pull tarp and other minor manual labor tasks

Education and Experience 
Currently pursuing, or already possess, a Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferably in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, Film, or any related field.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
