Sky Carp trainee positions typically begin during the spring semester (mid-March to early April) and run through the end of the baseball season (late August to early September). The season officially begins in early April. Candidates are selected for their passion, creativity, reliability, and eagerness to jump in and learn as much as possible during this immersive experience.
This is a paid position, and trainees gain hands-on exposure to all aspects of a Minor League Baseball organization while tackling a challenging, fast-paced schedule during homestands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (with an emphasis on education)
· Collaborate with Sky Carp staff to support and execute effective marketing and communications strategies.
· Assist in coordinating game day communications and promotional efforts.
· Help develop, organize, and distribute various marketing collateral materials.
· Support advertising and media scheduling, ensuring vendors receive all necessary information for timely ad placement.
· Coordinate media relations, including scheduling interviews and press opportunities.
· Organize and attend promotional events, such as farmers markets, mascot appearances, and community outreach initiatives.
· Build and maintain relationships with local non-profit organizations to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
· Contribute to social media content and campaigns as needed.
· Assist with photography for both baseball and non-baseball events.
· Perform other marketing and promotional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Currently pursuing or already possess a bachelor’s degree or higher and customer service experience
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours will vary including evening and weekend work according to business needs. The position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30 hours per week and does not include benefits other than pay.

The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
