Summary/Objective 
The Sky Carp Creative Services Trainee will create a wide array of multimedia content for in-game entertainment, general marketing/promotion, and social media. They will play an instrumental role in the production of the Sky Carp simulcast and stadium entertainment experience through creating graphics, capturing and creating content, and assisting in production roles as needed. They will also fulfill various other multimedia and AV obligations as needed.

This position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30-40 hours per week and does not include benefits other than hourly pay OR potential school credit. The pay for this position is $14.00/hour.

The preferred start date is Monday, March 17th. This position will end in Mid-September once the baseball season concludes.

An applicant should be experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite and be ready to hit the ground running in preparation for the 2024 season


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate and/or create content for the in-stadium videoboard and broadcast graphics
  • Assist in shooting and editing video content
  • Create content for general team and sales promotion, social media, team store and event advertising, and other miscellaneous needs
  • Contribute design ideas for marketing materials and fan experience content
  • Attend Baseball U training program to gain knowledge and professional development
  • Participate in professional development training

Requirements 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects)
  • Foundational understanding of camera operation and maintenance
  • Foundational understanding of video and art/design composition
  • Open to professional feedback and composition critiques
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to learn and adapt in fast changing environments and keep calm under pressure
  • Ability to work in flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pull tarp and other minor manual labor tasks

Education and Experience 
Currently pursuing, or already possess, a Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferably in Broadcasting, Journalism, Design, Film, or any related field.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
