Summer Interns

Joplin Outlaws - Intern
Joplin · MO
Event Management: Event Operations/Management
The Joplin Outlaws in the new Mid America League is seeking summer interns for their inaugural season.  The Mid America League is a development summer wood bat league that incorporates name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities to compensate players.  Each of the six teams in the league will play a 68-game schedule starting May 23 and concluding August 10, with playoffs to follow.

League founders have over 100 years of experience owning, operating and consulting for sports franchises.  Rosters will be primarily college aged players with most coming from regional college baseball programs.

Every Joplin Outlaws home game will be an opportunity to create lifelong memories for families with game day events, between inning promotions and entertaining contests.  The team is seeking student interns for the May – August time period.  Interns will be rotated throughout different disciplines within the organization which may include –
●      Facility Operations
●      Game Presentation
●      Merchandising
●      Ticket Operations
●      Ticket Sales
●      Customer Service
●      Marketing

Each student intern will gain experience in multiple areas of team operations, making you more intriguing to employers than your peers.

This internship is only available for college-level students, both undergrad and graduate, who are looking for an UNPAID COLLEGE CREDIT INTERNSHIP.  The internship begins in May 2024 (date tbd) and concludes in August 2024 (date tbd).  No housing is provided.

If you are looking for a paid internship with housing provided, this opportunity is not for you.  If you want to gain valuable hands-on experience and see firsthand how a baseball team is operated in exchange for college credit, then please apply.
