Position Summary:  
Miami Marlins Marketing Intern will be responsible for creating outstanding, first-class content pieces to be posted on club social media accounts. This individual will work in a collaborative environment with the social media and creative team to help expand the Marlins brand across social media.

Essential Functions: 
  • Plays a vital role in developing, designing and executing creative concepts, photo and video art direction, and social media campaigns that breaks-through in-feed and across platforms
  • Assist in conception, design, and execution of creative ideas reflected in short and long form content, understanding best practices, trends & visual storytelling across all traditional and emerging social platforms
  • Design key art and produce all assets needed for social team
  • Bring a fresh perspective to the team, creating graphic designs and assets that breaks through the clutter
  • Create content that is on brand and in line with brand messaging 
  • Ability to create content in fast-paced environment for multiple platforms
  • Work with photography and video production teams to bring creative concepts to life 
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously – both planned and unplanned assignments
  • Be proactive and solutions-oriented

Qualifications & Requirements:             
  • Collaborative team player able to work with a variety of departments and different personalities
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
  • Knowledge of design specs and best practices for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  • Ability to think independently, can thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay on or ahead of trends; can operate autonomously and as a team when developing concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under aggressive deadlines
  • Knowledge of videography, motion graphics, and design
  • Excellent online search skills with ability to track and monitor postings relevant to the brand
  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly

Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, Communications or related field
  • A minimum of (1) years professional work experience (sports/entertainment/new media) 
  • A minimum of (1) year professional work experience handling social media and digital properties for a major brand or sports organization
