Position Summary
As an Intern in International Scouting, you will support both the International Scouting and Player Development departments at the Marlins Academy in Boca Chica. This role is designed for an inquisitive, data-driven, and detail-oriented individual who can contribute across a variety of daily operations. You will be involved in everything from technology setup and data collection to administrative tasks and support for scouting workouts. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are key for success in this position.

Essential Functions
• Assist with the setup and operation of baseball technology (e.g., Trackman, bat sensors, video) for scouting and player development activities.
• Perform various administrative duties such as creating rosters, lineups, data entry, Cuban player tracking, and completing drug test/investigation forms.
• Support scouting workouts and daily operations at the Marlins Academy.
• Coordinate and communicate with scouts, coaches, analysts, and other staff on assigned projects.
• Distribute collected data and completed tasks to appropriate supervisors and departments.
• Contribute to collaborative efforts between the Scouting and Player Development teams.
• Take on additional duties or special projects as assigned by leadership, including Directors and Assistant General Managers.

Skill Requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and departments.
• Interest in scouting, player development, or baseball analytics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and baseball technology preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Previous experience in baseball, softball, video, coaching, or scouting is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Education & Experience Guidelines
• Must be able to commit to the full duration of the internship.
• Prior baseball/softball, video, or data experience preferred.
• Undergraduate or graduate students seeking experience in professional baseball encouraged to apply.

Work Environment
• Based at the Marlins Academy in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.
• Involves outdoor and on-field work in a baseball environment.
• Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
