Position Summary:   
 
The Temporary Benefits Coordinator supports the administration of employee benefits programs within a complex, multi vendor environment. This role is responsible for benefits data integrity, system file feeds, open enrollment execution, and employee onboarding support. The position plays a critical role in stabilizing and improving benefits operations through data cleanup, process execution, and system connectivity. 
 
Essential Functions: 
 
Benefits Administration 
  • Administers employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, and terminations 
  • Ensures accurate processing of benefits transactions across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems 
  • Responds to employee inquiries and resolves benefits related issues 
 
Data Integrity and Cleanup 
  • Conducts audits of benefits data across multiple systems and vendors 
  • Identifies discrepancies and executes data cleanup to ensure alignment and accuracy 
  • Maintains documentation and audit trails for compliance and reporting 
  • Executes structured data cleanup and reconciliation efforts to restore accuracy and alignment across systems 
 
File Feeds and Systems Management 
  • Maintain ongoing enrollment transactions while working with HR leadership to build, test, and maintain benefits eligibility and enrollment file feeds. 
  • Monitors file transmissions and proactively resolves errors in a timely manner 
  • Partners with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot integration issues 
  • Documents file layouts, processes, and ongoing maintenance requirements 
 
Open Enrollment Planning and Execution 
  • Supports planning and execution of open enrollment for all benefit programs and employee groups 
  • Coordinates timelines, system setup, and data validation for open enrollment readiness 
  • Assists with employee communications, materials, and enrollment support during the open enrollment period 
  • Ensures accurate processing and reconciliation of elections post enrollment 
 
Benefits Environment Complexity 
  • Supports multiple employee populations with distinct benefit structures and eligibility rules  
  • Coordinates across multiple benefit providers, including internal plans, MLB group programs, and international offerings 
  • Manages global benefit considerations, including coverage for employees traveling internationally (e.g., BCBS Global Core)  
  • Navigates varying enrollment processes, timelines, and system limitations across plans 
 
Employee Onboarding and Education 
  • Facilitates benefits orientation sessions for new hires 
  • Supports onboarding by ensuring timely and accurate benefits enrollment 
  • Provides clear and consistent communication regarding benefits offerings 
 
Process Execution and Improvement 
  • Executes established benefits processes while identifying gaps or inefficiencies 
  • Recommends improvements to enhance accuracy, scalability, and user experience 
 
 
Qualifications & Requirements: 
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations 
  • Experience working in a complex benefits environment with multiple vendors preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy 
  • Experience with UKG and benefits file feeds highly preferred 
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
