Position Summary:
The Miami Marlins Foundation is looking for high-energy, motivated and reliable individuals to join our 50/50 raffle fundraising staff for the 2023 season and specialty events held at loanDepot park. Through the Miami Marlins Foundation 50/50 raffle, guests have the opportunity to support the Foundation’s fundraising efforts to raise funds to make a positive IMPACT on South Florida by creating opportunities for youth to stay active, achieve academic success, and build leadership skills. Our programs focus on wellness, empowerment, and Youth Baseball & Softball.

Here’s how it works:
During all home games and select specialty events, guests may purchase 50/50 raffle tickets from uniformed raffle ticket sellers inside loanDepot park that are assigned to roam the ballpark or at stationary kiosks from the time gates open until the end of seventh inning or digitally by visiting www.marlins.com/raffle.  Each transaction is electronically tallied, and the ongoing total is displayed and updated in real time at various locations throughout the ballpark, enabling fans to watch the jackpot as it grows. Net proceeds from the raffle sales during each game will be split equally between one lucky fan and the Miami Marlins Foundation.

Essential Functions:
  • Work all Miami Marlins home games and specialty events for the 2024 season
  • Responsible for selling 50/50 raffle tickets to loanDepot attendees by roaming in the stands or from a stationary kiosk on the concourse
  •  Accurately handle the financial transaction of the sale and distribution of the 50/50 tickets and following program requirements
  • Provide a high-quality customer service interaction with all guests to enhance the loanDepot experience 
  • Educate guests about the Miami Marlins Foundation’s mission and core programs during each interaction
  • Participate other tasks and duties as assigned 

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Required to work extended hours, weekends and holidays according to baseball/events schedule
  • Ability to handle financial transactions and possess financial accountability 
  • Must be prompt and have a reliable method of transportation
  • Must have excellent verbal communication and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the Marlins Foundation’s mission
  • Must be comfortable to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time as well as interact with guests throughout the ballpark
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales is a preferred
  • Fluently in English/Spanish is a plus

Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines
  • High school diploma required, seeking college degree preferred  
  • Interested career path in sports, fundraising, or community relations fields
