Position Summary:  
Responsible for overseeing the Partnership Strategy line of business, which is the client marketing and service side of Marlins Partnerships. This person leads and oversees a team of 5+ team members responsible for the annual book of business comprised of 85+ partners. The Senior Director will guide the team to implement go-to-market strategies for maintaining and growing partner satisfaction, campaign deliverables and activation best practices, measurement, recaps, renewals, upsells, and other responsibilities commensurate with defining an exceptional partnership team. The individual will be a valuable leader and contributor in driving partnership initiatives within this core sector of the Marlins while setting the standard for the Partnership Strategy team and wider organization values. Ideal candidates should possess the ability to work side-by-side with clients and team members both in Partnerships and across the organization, and should possess exceptional skills in project management, leadership, coaching, drive, creativity, time management, and organizational skills. 
 
Essential Functions:
·         Initiate and maintain consistent communication, guidance, and excellent business relations with the Partnership Strategy team, and other internal stakeholders.
·         Become the subject matter expert in all areas of the team’s job including developing keen knowledge of the property, venue, and internal mechanics for fulfillment in order to guide the team as needed. 
·         Develop deep relationships with client stakeholders alongside team members in order to monitor and communicate partner feedback to maintain integrity of all relationships and delivery of KPI’s.
·         Develop certain systems in collaboration with senior leadership to move the department forward while maintaining the foundation of success in place. 
·         Deliver top and bottom-line financial results relative to Partnership Strategy, as established annually by senior leadership. 
·         Responsible for overall profile success of team partnership contract renewals and in-term upsells.
·         Assist Vice President, and Chief Commercial Officer in special projects, training, and other duties as assigned commensurate with a leader within partnerships. 
 
Qualifications & Requirements: 
·         Strong work ethic with the ability to work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
·         Highly organized and efficient with the ability to work independently as well as with a small integrated team.
·         Superior written and oral communication skills are essential.
·         Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at any given time.
·         Deep understanding of corporate partnerships, inventory, and sports marketing.
·         Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. 
 
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
·         10+ years of experience in partnership activation, marketing, strategy, or development at a team property within major sports, preferred. 
·         Four-year college degree
