The Visiting Clubhouse Manager is responsible for executing and maintaining a quality visiting team clubhouse for the Wilmington Blue Rocks – the High-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. This includes the management of the visitors’ clubhouse and umpire facilities for the duration of the 2026 season, while meeting or exceeding standards set forth for cleanliness, efficiency and all other aspects of the job.
The Visiting Clubhouse Manager will be responsible for fulfilling team needs such as player, coach and umpire laundry, clubhouse cleaning, and meal coordination. It is a vital role of the clubhouse manager to provide unsurpassed attention and service to players, coaches, MLB/MiLB personnel, umpires, league officials, and others.
This position is seasonal for the 2026 baseball season and requires some nights, weekends and holiday hours. The Visiting Clubhouse Manager must be on-site for all 2026 home games. This position consists of non-traditional work hours including late nights, weekends and some holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a safe, clean and professional clubhouse at all times
- Assist in loading/unloading visiting team buses for team arrivals and departures
- Visiting team laundry
- Keep clubhouse snacks/beverages stocked (commensurate with budget provided by team)
- Provide bench supplies per league rules
- Set up and organize visiting dugout and bullpen before and after each workout/game
- Assist and coordinate pre and post-game meals
- Keep umpire locker room clean/organized, deliver umpire post game meals (provided by home team), umpire laundry
- Assist in the management of team bat boys/girls
- Other duties as assigned by General Manager
Qualifications
- Prior experience in professional sports equipment/clubhouse management. Prior MiLB experience preferred
- High level of integrity
- Reliable transportation
- Superior cleanliness
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to work all 2024 home games
- Ability to work a variety of hours that include late nights, holidays and weekends
- Ability to furnish professional references when requested
