The Promotions Manager for the Blue Rocks is responsible for developing unique promotional and theme night schedule that will span the entire 66 game home schedule. In addition, this role leads the game day promotions team to help execute the promotional themes, giveaways, on-field activities and more.

This individual also oversees the team’s charitable donation program, mascot and player appearances, Junior Blue Rocks Kids’ Club, and other community efforts.

The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and execute the full promotional calendar, including theme nights, giveaways, and in-game entertainment
  • Schedule all performers for National Anthem performances and all other pre-game elements
  • Lead daily game day meetings to ensure all aspects of the game are covered and nothing is overlooked
  • Confirm all sponsorship commitments are honored and all entertainment is completed, from in game promotions to giveaways to fireworks
  • Lead the implementation of fan engagement initiatives that enhance the overall game day experience
  • Collaborate with Partnership Activation Executive to coordinate on-field promotions, sponsor activations, and ceremonies
  • Collaborate with Group Sales team to align promotional efforts with revenue-driving initiatives including group outings, fundraising programs, tabling experiences, and more
  • Negotiate with local and national vendors to order promotional giveaways for the season
  • Ensure all sponsor-themed products and giveaways are ordered in a timely manner
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Junior Blue Rocks Kids’ Club
  • Oversee and maintain the Blue Rocks charitable donation program
  • Schedule and attend select mascot and player appearances
 
 Internal Leadership & Operations:
  •  Assist in hiring, training, and supervising game day promotional teamCollaborate cross-departmentally with Ticketing,  Partnership Activation, Operations, and other staff to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Context:
  • 40 hours per week in the off-season
  • Extended hours per week during the season
  • High levels of communication 
  • Working indoors for most office hours
  • Outside in the elements for games 
  • Fast-paced environment with ability to think quickly and communicate well
  • Organized to ensure deadlines are met
  • Proper time management is critical
  • Confidence and a fun, outgoing personality are essential
