Position Summary
The Concession Stand Lead is responsible for overseeing operations of an assigned concession stand located at either the First Base or Third Base stand at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The ideal candidate should be able to manage concession attendants, adhere to food safety compliance, maintain inventory control and deliver exceptional guest experience during all events and games.
Reports to: Director of Food and Beverage, Food and Beverage Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operational aspects of the assigned concession stand during games and events
- Supervise, train, and manage concession stand employees, ensuring proper staffing levels and performance
- Delegate responsibilities and assign positions to staff to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the stand during games, addressing operational issues and guest concerns
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and equipment handling standards
- Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitization of food preparation areas, service areas, and equipment
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of menu items, condiments, paper goods, and supplies
- Communicate inventory needs and coordinate restocking as necessary
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems to troubleshoot issues and assist employees
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in food service, concessions, or hospitality management preferred
- Must be available for the majority of all Blue Rocks games (66 total)
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment operation
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic technology troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs at a time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced stadium environment
Work Environment
- Outdoor and indoor concession settings
- High-volume service during baseball games and other events at Frawley Stadium
