The Control Room Gameday Staff works one of our many roles on gameday within our broadcast production room to help broadcast Blue Rocks home games on MiLB.TV. These roles are vital for fans at home, or wherever they may be, to take in Blue Rocks baseball at its finest. The ideal candidate loves the sport of baseball and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and loud environment. You will work alongside other Control Room Staff members, under our Director of Creative & Web Services, to help put on the best show possible.
Control Room Staff Roles:
- Director - This role is second-in-command to our Director of Creative & Web Services and coordinates various members of the control room staff in-game while utilizing our switcher to handle the live game feed.
- High Home Camera Operator - This is the primary camera for use during the game and requires a high attention span and quick thinking.
- PTZ Camera Operator - This camera operator with control our three remote-operated camera (1B line, 3B line, CF) via a PTZ joystick controller from within the control room.
- Wireless Camera Operator - This camera operator will handle a wireless camera throughout the ballpark and capture live video of in-stadium action, entertainment and on-field activities.
- Replay Operator - This role will operate our replay console and coordinate closely with our Director regarding replay outputs during the game.
- Music Operator - This individual will handle our in-stadium music and audio operations, including managing speaker volume levels and in-game sound effects.
This is a freelance role that is paid on a flat rate per game, based on the role you are assigned for a particular game. It is the sole discretion of the Director of Creative & Web Services who is assigned to which roles. You will be asked to fill out an availability form on a month-to-month basis to determine scheduling for the upcoming month's slate of game. Deadlines to submit your availability form will be communicated to you in advance of a schedule being posted.
