Director, Food and Beverage
COMPENSATION
The expected compensation for this role is $68,640. Total compensation and offer package will include the following:

SUMMARY
This full-time position reports to the General Manager and Ownership. The Director of Food and Beverage oversees all food and beverage aspects for the Modesto Roadsters including, but not limited to, all home games, special events, and other baseball events. This role oversees all food and beverage operations and staffing while supporting ongoing development to ensure short- and long-term accountability for event staffing, event planning and daily operations. This position is also responsible for ensuring that exceptional hospitality is provided, alcoholic beverages are served safely, and food and beverage quality and sanitation standards are always maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all day-to-day Food & Beverage operations in coordination of budgeted figures and to proper financial standards and reporting
- Lead all daily Food & Beverage preparation and shut down processes
- Assist in the design of menus in coordination of pricing and food cost standards
- Establish policies internally to provide excellent customer service
- Responsible for all aspects of the stadium concessions and vending operation, including, but not limited to, all product ordering, inventory management, maintaining equipment, ensuring proper execution of orders (including proper operation of POS System at all locations of service) and creating an effective and safe working environment for all staff and guests
- Establish and enforce all Food and Beverage policies to a standard higher than required by local and national health and safety regulations
- Supervise, train, and schedule of all food and beverage staff
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Hospitality-related field or Sports Administration
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the food and beverage operations, preferably in professional sports or college athletics
- ServSafe certified or the ability to obtain certification
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment & prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work hours, including evenings, weekends and select holidays during the baseball season, and off-season for special events and continuously work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing/walking (including stairs)
