The Inventory Analyst will support the Business Strategy & Analytics function by expertly managing ticketing (and other) inventory through rigorous statistical analysis and the development of internal models, tools, and processes.
Job Functions:
- Strategically manage ticketing inventory for all home Dodgers games to maximize sales objectives across all ticket types and sales channels
- Manage relationships with all third-party tickets sales and operations operators
- Build and utilize internal tools to help automate the inventory management process (including hold code management, bulk purchasing and returning, dynamic pricing, and inventory allocation)
- Organize, analyze, and present data from ticket sales and operations
- Develop reporting suite in Tableau that serves as an all-encompassing inventory and pricing hub
- Strategically analyze inventory opportunities across merchandise, concessions, tours, and other empirically-driven business units
- Support all business departments with analytical consulting as requested
- Create and manage quality control standards and checks for data and reporting
- Assist in sales planning and forecasting across varying business functions
- Evaluate opportunities in order to provide team executives with strategic recommendations and alternatives on critical business initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Minimum three years’ work experience in finance, statistics, business consulting, ticketing operations or related field
- Proficient with financial and statistical modeling
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Salesforce, VBA, and statistical languages such as R is preferred
- Working knowledge of at least one ticketing system is preferred
- Possess excellent reasoning, problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully design and implement cross-functional projects
- Basic understanding of organizational structure, goals, and mission
