Overview:
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Partnerships, the Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for selling radio, stadium signage, digital, print, local and in-stadium promotional rights and opportunities as well as maintaining the client relationship for the Los Angeles Angels.

This is a benefits-eligible position, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K eligibility (employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment), as well as other benefits not listed above. This expected annual compensation based on a draw and commission structure can range from $75k-$200k. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters and based on years of experience and type of experience.
Duties:
- Identify prospects and take assigned leads from discovery to research phase, then profile and make initial contact. Expected to perform outside sales functions a minimum of 50% of the time.
- Prepare initial presentation; including specific data on each
- Determine client objectives
- Prepare proposals that match client objectives to package components by outlining benefits of sponsorship program
- Negotiate sales to conclusion including sponsorship agreement
- Responsible for selling Angels controlled advertising elements. Elements include but are not limited to tv, radio, signage, digital, print, promotions, tickets, suites, hospitality and local promotional rights.
- Sell to performance standard (quota)
- Account service on accounts as determined by the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships.
- Collections on all sales
- Overall client satisfaction and continued renewal of relationship with team
- Overall communication of clients’ needs and details of clients' business and expectations to team personnel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Sales or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years professional sales experience required; prior corporate sales experience with a professional, college or minor league team preferred
- Experience with Los Angeles DMA
- Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
- Proven record of consistently exceeding sales goals
- Excellent formal presentation skills before small and large groups
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and unusual hours
- Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions in the last 3 years.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform work in an office environment or travel via vehicle.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand and sit frequently
- Position requires some degree of travel for business purposes
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs.
