Overview:
Under the supervision of the Field Manager, the part-time groundskeeper is responsible for assisting with the overall care and maintenance of the sports field at Angel Stadium. The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour effective January 1, 2024 and is a non-benefited position. This position is also eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and complimentary tickets to games (12 per season).

Duties:
  • Daily work includes mowing, edging, weeding, sodding, blowing and vacuuming, infield maintenance, and mound repair
  • Safe operation of various grounds equipment such as mowers, carts, tractors, aerators, blowers, vacuums etc.
  • Ability to work with other members of the seasonal grounds crew

Qualifications:
  • One to two years related experience
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license
  • Experience in Field Management at baseball facility preferred
  • Ability to work varied hours, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to walk frequently
  • Ability to work on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to occasionally squat, stoop, bend and kneel
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 20lbs and occasional lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in inclement weather (extreme cold or heat)
