As our Museum Coordinator & Archivist, you’ll be the keeper of our story—preserving artifacts, inspiring visitors, and helping us share the impact that youth sports have had on millions of players, families, and communities.
 
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:

Engage & Inspire Visitors
  • Welcome fans, families, and teams with warmth and enthusiasm.
  • Lead tours and group visits, using storytelling to make exhibits come alive.
  • Ensure every guest—players, coaches, parents, volunteers—has a safe, fun, and memorable experience.
  • Build relationships with volunteers, community partners, and school groups.

Protect & Grow Our Collection
  • Care for artifacts, archives, memorabilia, photographs, uniforms, trophies, and more.
  • Keep our collections organized, catalogued, and preserved with integrity.
  • Support exhibit design, installation, and maintenance—both traditional and interactive.
  • Help research, plan, and acquire exciting new exhibit elements and partnerships.

Bring History to Life Through Education
  • Support youth-friendly, inclusive educational programming.
  • Create interpretive materials, exhibit labels, digital content, and presentations.
  • Share the cultural and historical significance of youth sports through talks, tours, and events.
Keep Operations Running Smoothly
  • Assist with daily museum operations, including store support and event setup.
  • Help manage digital archives, maintain records, and support research requests.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to highlight our mission.
  • Support donor relations, grants, and administrative tasks as needed.

Technical & Digital Support
  • Update digital exhibits with new photos, rosters, and stories.
  • Troubleshoot basic audio/visual equipment and interactive displays.
  • Use Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Shopify POS, and collections management software.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in History, Museum Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a public facing role, especially a museum environment or education
  • Loves history and believes in the power of storytelling.
  • Knowledge of museum practices and procedures, archival databases and collections management systems.
  •  Enjoys working with the public—especially children and families.
  • Has experience in museums, archives, or public-facing roles.
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically.
  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and excited by both behind-the-scenes and public-facing tasks.
  • Understands or is eager to learn the history and cultural impact of Little League Baseball & Softball.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit environment.
  • Experience with accessioning, cataloging, and collections management systems (CatalogIT preferred).
  • Comfortable with digital archives, museum technology, and basic A/V troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Little League Baseball and Softball programs or a second language, particularly Spanish

This full-time role is based in a museum setting and works (5) flexible days per week with occasional peaks in workload and special events such as the Little League World Series, and other key events, may require working in the evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
