Little League® International Central Region - Administrative Assistant – Summer 2026

Little League® International is seeking a qualified candidate to join Little League’s Central Regional team for the summer of 2026 at the Little League® Baseball and Softball Central Regional location in Whitestown, IN. This position will run from approximately May through August, and the hours typically follow normal business hours, Monday – Friday and earns $18 per hour for up to 35 hours per week. Candidates must live within commuting distance to Whitestown, IN office. 

College students are welcome to apply! This position may qualify as an internship opportunity, provided the work duties align with the student’s academic program standards and requirements.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
  • Assist and respond to local league inquiries and provide professional customer support to all requests.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, address general questions, and route inquiries to appropriate regional staff as needed.
  • Serve as a welcoming presence at the regional facility, assisting guests, partners, and visitors.
  • Support tournament operations through event setup and breakdown, ensuring facilities and materials are prepared and organized.
  • Assist with planning and execution of opening and closing ceremonies and other special events.
  • Assist with operation of the tournament gift shop.
  • Receive, inventory, document and properly store tournament supplies and shipments.
  • Coordinate outgoing shipments, mailings, and logistical materials.
  • Maintain proper document filing and maintaining records.
  • Assist with various communications to constituents, volunteers, community partners and more as directed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to participants, families, volunteers, sponsors, and guests throughout the duration of the Central Regional Tournament.
Tournaments may include:
  • Team Relations: Assist with the preparation of credentials, collect, organize, and maintain tournament documentation.
  •  Volunteer Coordination: Assist with scheduling, training materials and disseminating materials.
  •  Sponsor & Guest Services: Provide on-site operational support for sponsors, VIPs, and special guests.
  •  Media Support: Assist with media coordination and logistical needs.
  • Retail Operations: Support gift shop operations, inventory, and customer service.
  • Perform additional tournament-related operational duties as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor to support regional operations and event success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  High School Graduate, current college students or recent graduates preferred (Operations Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, Event Management, Logistics, or related field encouraged to apply).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • MS Office experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A positive attitude, team mentality, and willingness to learn new things.
  • Ability to work well with internal management and staff, outside clients, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Must exhibit sound judgment and the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction; swiftly referring problems/issues to the appropriate person(s) when necessary; works effectively without constant and direct supervision or guidance.
  • Must be able to work with discretion and confidentiality. 
  • Provide hands-on event management support during the Central Little League Baseball World Series.
  • Knowledge and understanding of baseball and softball a plus but not required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
