Job Title: Trainee – Ticket Sales and Services                                    

Job Summary: This Trainee will work under the direction of the VP, Ticket Sales & Services. This Trainee will assist in activities related to ticket sales, including new business, retention, groups and team operations.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • Support and execute revenue-generating initiatives throughout the year while collaborating cross-departmentally.
  • Provide administrative support for sales and service leadership team
  • Strategize, plan and execute client facing events – including budget management, collaboration across the organization and client needs. 
  • Prioritize, submit and ensure execution of Pine Tar requests across the ticket sales department. 
  • Ideate and execute experiential opportunities around the ballpark such as premium tastings, in-seat visits, and suite outings.
  • Create and execute client facing surveys. This includes STM, past theme buyer, premium, or other survey opportunities that may arise. 
  • Departmental management of game day activations – this includes suite signage, in-game assets related to group sales and pre- and post-game client opportunities.
  • Research new revenue opportunities for the sales team, such as group initiatives and partners, successes from other MLB teams and non-MLB teams.
  • Manage team meeting calendar and attend team and interdepartmental meetings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent oral communication and customer service problem solving skills. 
  • Basic mathematical and writing skills. 
  • Able to travel around the ballpark visiting clients during home games and able to escort and show potential customers various seating options around the ballpark. 
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
  • Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance. 
  • Professional image and demeanor. 
  • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment. 

Physical Requirements: 
·       Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds 
·       Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
·       Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
·       Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
·       Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
·       Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
