Job Title: Senior Coordinator – Events & Giveaways

Job Summary: This position’s primary responsibility will be to help manage all gate giveaway and theme night item distributions as well as assist in the creation, planning, and execution of all theme nights. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the New Crew fulfillment service, assisting with large-scale, non-gameday events, and working with all members of the Events and Activations Department on various projects.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
·       Oversee distribution of all giveaway items (internally for front office and externally at gates)
·       Assist in managing theme night item distribution to ensure proper delivery
·       Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of theme nights and signature special events 
·       Ensure proper communication of event needs and requirements to all internal departments, partners, and vendors
·       Liaise with Gameday Entertainment team for the facilitation of theme night-related gameday elements (i.e., first pitch and pre-game ceremonies)
·       Assist in developing, improving, and evolving all theme nights and special events from year to year
·       Manage the fulfillment of New Crew orders
·       Assist with various concert prep, and other large-scale events as needed
·       Other duties as assigned by Senior Manager of Activations and Giveaways
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
·       A minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in event management
·       Has previous event planning and execution experience
·       Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
·       Excellent written and oral communication skills
·       Ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize to meet deadlines
·       Ability to handle some manual labor, including lifting boxes and pushing carts
·       Can handle outside environment working conditions
·       Able to work evenings and weekends as needed for Royals home games, and non-game day special events
·       Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communication, or related field is a plus
Physical Requirements: 
·       Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds 
·       Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
·       Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
·       Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
·       Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
·       Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
·       Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Full-Time, Exempt opportunity that is eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. This role is expected to have a standard 40-hour work week.
