Job Summary:
The Kansas City Royals are seeking an experienced sports partnership, media, entertainment sales executive with proven track record of success in initiating and growing successful marketing partnerships from regional and national brands. Ideal candidates possess capability to work collaboratively with corporate partner and affiliated agencies to exceed identified partnership objectives and grow impact and scale of existing partnerships. In addition to in-stadium, digital, IP/in-market promotional rights and radio network opportunities, there will be an emphasis on partnership growth that supports Royals Charities events and Community Impact department programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Enthusiasm and desire to be a business leader and help organization maximize partnership revenue on an annual basis 
  • Research and understand each partners’ business, industry, goals and KPIs to develop custom partnership programs to deliver business results
  • Responsible for developing personal and professional relationships with all levels of within a company (i.e., day-to-day contact, Senior Management, C-Level executives, owners, etc.)
  • Ability and enthusiasm for driving partnership marketing programs forward - from concept to measurement
  • Strong interest in growing as a team leader, willingness to help foster the growth of fellow Partnership Solutions team members 
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to customize ideas and partnership proposals
  • Research best-practices, innovation and stay on top of cutting-edge trends in sports partnerships
  • Perform research related to partner development and relevant industry categories
  • Knowledge of all assets and understanding of how to leverage premium assets for larger partnerships
  • Participate in all department events and sponsor/prospect entertainment activities
  • Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely fashion as well as perform additional duties as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university 
  • 5-7 years of high-performing experience in multi-media sports, media, or entertainment sales and/or client services
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor fellow team members and grow as a team member
  • Always represent yourself and the Kansas City Royals in a professional manner
  • Available to attend business related games/events and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends & holidays
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to effectively multi-task
  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management 
  • Proven analytical ability, creative problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset while also team oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Dynamics)
  • Available to travel as needed (approximately 5-10%)
