Position: Kansas City Royals – Game Crew (Part-time position)
DESCRIPTION: The Kansas City Royals are looking for part-time, seasonal staff to serve in the role of Game Crew members. This position assists the Royals Game Entertainment department to help execute all facets of pre-game ceremonies and in-game elements, including National Anthems, First Pitches, Special Presentations, and the Hot Dog Derby.
Game day responsibilities:
· Pre-game:
o Attend pre-game meetings, receive game duties, review all necessary items, and receive instructions
o Meet all pre-game participants and thoroughly explain field instructions
o Execute assigned pre-game ceremonies and live shots
o Prepare for in-game features, pick contestants, set up props, etc.
· In-game:
o Execute assigned in-game features/contests
o Execute live shots, presentations and other duties assigned
o Assist the in-stadium host
· Post-game:
o Assist with any scheduled post-game ceremonies or performances
o Wrap-up & clean space as needed
Special event Responsibilities:
- Possible Duties:
- Set up/breakdown event space
- Check in participants, run participants to designated locations
- Assist with any promotions or ceremonies
REQUIREMENTS:
· General understanding/passion for live events with knowledge of the game of baseball and the Royals
· Currently enrolled or graduate of post-secondary programs in Sports Management, Marketing, Broadcast Radio & Television, Communications, or Hospitality are an asset
· Positive thinking and attitude with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to take direction, think on their feet and stay calm in stressful situations while displaying first class customer service
· Able to commit to at least 40 home games including Opening Day
· Attend all mandatory meetings and rehearsals prior to and during the 2026 season
· Flexible evening/weekend/holiday schedule
· Candidates must have reliable transportation and live in or close to the Kansas City area
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
