Job Title: Coordinator - Shipping, Receiving and Mail Services
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Kauffman Stadium Shipping, Receiving, and Mail Services. This includes properly screening incoming mail, maintaining office supply inventories, completing time sensitive mailings, receiving large shipping pallets, coordination of goods storage, and helping with other tasks as assigned.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Daily inspection and sorting of all incoming mail to Kauffman Stadium
- Promote a safe workspace with extra training in mail screening
- Maintain office supply inventories and logs for supplies in the mail room
- Receiving and logging all incoming mail and packages
- Preparing items to be mailed from Kauffman Stadium
- Complete large mailings often with tight deadlines
- Timely delivery of mail throughout the stadium.
- Receiving bulk item deliveries for giveaways and other needs.
- Maintaining logs of locations and inventories of items stored.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of current and former employee names
- Create working relationships with UPS, FedEx, USPS, Amazon, Quadiant, Lineage, and other Shipping services.
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Mail Room or office setting
- 1 year office experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
- Experience in using forklift and pallet jack preferred
- Strong time management & organizational skills
- Effective writing, telephone & verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently or in a team environment & prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Able to work in high-pressure environment
- Possess a superb professional attitude that is customer service oriented
- Ability to effectively collaborate across the entire organization
- Available to work weekdays 9am-5pm
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift items weighing as much as 50 pounds
· Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday
· Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
· Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
· Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
· Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
