Box Office Intern (Paid – Seasonal)

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Box Office Interns for the upcoming season. This paid, part-time internship offers valuable hands-on experience in professional sports ticketing and customer service within a fast-paced Minor League Baseball environment.

The Box Office Intern will assist with day-to-day ticketing operations and work directly with fans to help create a positive and memorable experience at PNC Field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with game day and non-game day ticket sales at the stadium Box Office
  • Process ticket transactions using Ticketmaster and POS ticketing systems
  • Distribute and manage Will Call tickets for fans, groups, and special events
  • Provide outstanding customer service to fans in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Answer fan questions regarding tickets, promotions, seating locations, and stadium policies
  • Assist in resolving ticketing and customer service issues
  • Maintain an organized and professional Box Office work environment
  • Support Box Office staff with additional operational tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Current college student with an interest in sports, business, or event operations preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn ticketing software system
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work game days, evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays

Internship Details

  • Paid, part-time seasonal internship
  • Internship runs for the duration of the RailRiders baseball season
  • Schedule will include game days, weekdays, evenings, and weekends

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time during events
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors when needed
