Summary:
The Ballpark Operations Seasonal Associate assists the Ballpark Operations department with maintenance and cleanliness of Werner Park including performing maintenance, project supervision, and janitorial services. This individual assists with ensuring the stadium is operational and ready for baseball, soccer, and special events. This position does not include grounds keeping.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for general facility maintenance including equipment inspection and monitoring throughout the facility
- Assist with improvement projects to increase safety, efficiencies and capacity
- Consult with Ballpark Operations team to identify improvements and/or weaknesses; consult as needed to further improve the environment of the stadium
- Maintain a working knowledge of all operating systems
- Assists with ordering and maintaining all supplies and equipment
- Comply with all OSHA regulations and other government safety regulations
- Manage projects as assigned in conjunction with the Ballpark Operations team
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or progress towards a degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Prior maintenance or project management experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry a plus, but not a requirement
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and database programs
- Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Working Conditions:
This job is performed in a ballpark; and therefore, there is possible exposure to extreme weather conditions. This individual will operate heavy machinery and power tools.
