Overview:
The Norfolk Tides, owned by Diamond Baseball Holdings and Triple-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are seeking part-time seasonal Promotions Team members for the 2026 Tides Gameday Ballpark Staff. The ideal applicants are local college students, and recent grads who are interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry and minor league baseball.
Gameday Duties:
· Coordinate, set-up, and execute on-field promotional events/activities
· Strategically select contestants for on-field promotions
· Assist mascot(s) with photo appearances
· Assist fans with questions/comments/concerns at the information center
- Ability to interact with fans, contestants, mascots, and other team members, helping to enhance gameday experience
Preferences:
· Availability to work 90% of the games throughout the season
· Big baseball fan – understands the game and in-game situations
· Someone looking to get into the sports industry and start their career
· Preferred experience working in sports, event coordination, promotion, or sports marketing preferred
Qualifications:
· Be available for at least 90% of home games, a flexible schedule that accommodates nights, weekends, and holidays
· Energetic, outgoing personality, and positive attitude
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Ability to be flexible in situations such as weather delays, extra innings, etc.
· Comfortable working with fans of all ages
· Strong, diligent, and detail-oriented skills are preferred
