Position Overview:
The Control Room Linescore Operator will be responsible for maintaining accuracy of informational displays and broadcast graphics by inputting action pitch-by-pitch and recording the digital scorebook for all Nashville Sounds home games during the 2026 season. This individual will report to the Event Production Manager.
This position’s duties include, but are not limited to:
- Input balls, strikes, outs, runs, hits, and errors using statistical software
- Input additional changes made throughout games including but not limited to roster updates, defensive substitutions, and pitching changes
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention of detail
- Troubleshoot technical and/or other practical issues that may arise
- Be responsive to direction in live event setting
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Maintain focus in high-profile and high-leverage situations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong knowledge of baseball and familiarity with statistics required
- Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays from March to September
- Ability to work in a team environment while adhering to directions and guidelines from a supervisor
- Previous experience working in live sports production or similar technical field
- Excellent verbal, written, communication and organizational skills
- Must be reliable, detail oriented, well organized, and self-motivated
