About the Role:
This position is a Temporary Accountant to join the team March 2026, covering for maternity leave. This role includes managing accounts payable, handling deposits, generating general ledge entries, conducting monthly bank reconciliations, and month-end processes. The candidate will begin in Late March for cross training with the current accountant to ensure a seamless transition. 
Responsibilities: 
·         Assistance with general accounting and bookkeeping maintaining day-to-day accounting processes including posting journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations 
·         Prepare Daily, weekly, and monthly reports 
·         Responsible for the accounts payable function which includes maintaining vendor files, entering invoices for payment, printing and mailing checks, and responding to inquiries from vendors and employees regarding payments
·         Responsible for managing the accounts receivable and billing processes which include maintaining an ageing report for receivables, making all bank deposits and entering deposits to the general ledger, and working with the Sales and Sponsorship departments to collect receivables in a timely manner.
·         Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entry preparation
·         Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card transactions and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis and preparing reconciling journal entries.
·         Assist with revenue tracking, game-day financial activity, and special projects such as event reconciliations

QUALIFICATIONS
·         A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
·         Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
·         Strong oral and written communication skills
·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel
·         Confident in utilizing financial software, especially Sage Intacct 
·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·         Demonstrates integrity, reliability and trust, with discretion in handling confidential financial data
